How Do You Know When Summer Has Truly Arrived?

Weekly Topic #2:
Well it gets into the hundreds here in the mojave desert today 100 degrees. It feels like you are being hit dead on by a hot blow dryer. My lawn even though I have automatic sprinklers is fried in alot of spots.Iam knitting a couple of baby hats for charity right now and just got done knitting the Dragon Dishcloth by Susan Bowlby.I also know it is summer when I start craving shrimp salads and ice tea;)

Love the dishcloth, Darcy. And thanks for the idea on the forest canopy shawl - it looks beautiful!

I LOVE the color of your dishcloth. One of my friends (Ariel) posted "Look, Susan's famous" so I had to come check it out.......LOL. Great picture, you did a beautiful job with it. And I can relate to the heat. I'm in Southern New Mexico and we've had triple digits for a few days now, it's horribly hot

Thanks for the comments on the dishcloths. Isn't that so true about blocking them in this heat. It's 105 degrees right now in Chino. UGH!!!! I'm guessing it's hotter where you are.

Love the dragon!!!! :-)

Great dishcloth!

Is there anywhere we can go to get out of all this heat? :)

love the colours. I know its summer when I look outside and it is pouring down. We have had weeks of sunshine and today when I have rav friends visiting it is raining. No walks on the promenade then.
Thanks for the kind comments on my mabon shawl
