First Time Doing Lace:)

I never thought I would be able to work with lace weight yarn or do lace knitting it just looked to difficult.I researched on Ravelry lace patterns and found the Easy Flame Lace Scarf I was told this would be a good first time lace project.I bought Lace Malabrigo in Geranio lovely colorway pictures dont do it justice and now Iam almost done with my 7th repeat of the pattern and I think I have a whole foot now.lol lace weight yarn is tiny and so it takes a long time to see progress.Iam proud of myself for stepping outside my comfort zone to try lace:)

May 4th Knotty Knitter Gathering At Starbucks

Carol brought a friend today Little Loopy a cutie from Loopy Ewe.Little Loopy visited with everyone then sat on my shoulder to whisper into my ear;)Little Loopy wound down by taking a nap in my Clapotis on the arm of my chair.I just have to show you a picture of Carol wearing a shirt I just love you just need to click on the picture and it will make it big enough to read you must read the saying on it she bought it from Cafe Press and it is to funny:)Robin helped me cast-on my fetching gloves 2 at a time on magic loop in Silky Malabrigo in a lovely lilac colorway and I was tinkering with some Maple Sugar Cherry Tree Hill Super Glitz Socks toe up 2 on one needle socks.We took alot of pictures so there is another post below this one.Carol was making everyone laugh and our newest member Dawn is an absolute delight to knit with and Jackie is tackling the Easy Flame Scarf.Jackie is going to make a chart for the Easy Flame Scarf as we are planning a KAL.As always we had a great time:)

Malabrigo Swap Package Arrived Today!!!

Iam getting ready to go to Stitches West Iam driving and taking 3 other knotty knitters.Leesa,Mel white,Jeanine we are pretty excitted.Iam having surgery Monday morning and I have been trying not to think about it just think about the trip and I had to take the baby in to the doctor today and get medicine for her.I received my Swap Package from my secret swap partner on Ravelry today my hubby had intercepted the mail and hidden the pkg in his car then asked me if we got any mail today he knew I was hoping to get a pkg today he was laughing 2 hours later when he gave it to me. Chris I have wanted to knit a lace pattern with lace yarn.Chris sent me in sleeves the Knit and Tonic Easy Flame Lace Scarf Pattern and 2 skeins of Malabrigo Lace 100% Baby Merino Wool in Apple Green.I have wanted these Interweave Press Magnets he sent them how kewl:)and I love soap and lotions and Chris sent me some in a coconut scent I now smell so good:) he sent me his favorite coffee Cafe' Du Monde I immediately made a pot of it and have drank a cup:)
He sent me a chocolate bar Spicy Maya dark chocolate infused with pasilla chile and cayenne pepper it has been consumed yummers it was so good!!!He lives in Los Angeles that is where I was born and it is so close I hope we can knit together sometime that would be really kewl Chris really made my day.Thankyou Chris;)you are so awesome!!!
