~Samantha's Mitts~

As alot of you know that read my blog I have a friend back home battling a rare form of cancer.
I visited her last Summer twice and brought her a clapotis shawl and urchin hat and since then have knit her a wee sock and yesterday she received the cashmere fingerless mitts I knit her.
Samantha was told she only had months to live but she is still here and trying every experimental chemo they have she is a fighter.
Monday she finds out if this last chemo is the one that will turn things around and it is hard not being there for her.
I hope the knitted goodies I send her give her comfort like a hug from me to her she told me she has alot of chemo hats but only this one pair of gloves so I told her as long as she keeps fighting I will keep knitting with love and prayers and hugs in every stitch:)

I am so sorry to hear about your friend; it's hard to be so far away when you want to be near her to give your support. But your knitting must mean the world to her -- like holding her hands from far away.

Your knitted goodies and the love that goes into them will surely warm her heart. And that will give her strength. I wish her all the best.

I will keep Samantha in my prayers and pray that the chemo is working. The mitts are beautiful! You are so sweet.

I'm sure the love in the garments you knit for her will help in her fight-I hope the news is good. My SIL had stage 4 breast cancer and I knit alpaca hat and mitts for her.
