~*Wee Tiny Bride And Groom Socks*~

I had the pleasure of test knitting the patterns for these wee tiny socks for Meg Bakewell and waited to show them to you until she could put the kits in her etsy shop bravelittleknitter.
Also you can purchase just the patterns on ravelry.
The kit includes plenty of yarn to knit both the bride and groom wee tiny socks, about 40 yards in total.
The yarn for the bride is an amazing 100% silk indie dyed confection in the colorway Champagne.
The groom's yarn is 100% merino wool in pure black, along with enough white in a merino-nylon blend for his shirt. Also included are pearly white size 8 glass beads which are knit into the bride's bodice, and a beading needle.

The six page pattern is laser printed with color photos, and includes detailed instructions for knitting with beads (for the bride) and intarsia in the round (for the groom).
The patterns are easy to follow and the wee socks are so darn cute.
Here are pictures of the ones I knit.

Close up Pictures Of The Sockini I Knit From My july Sock Club Kit For Dolores

When I started knitting wee socks they all seemed to be pretty generic.
I joined the Wee Tiny Sock Swap Group on ravelry and I was looking at everyones projects and noticed some people had written the patterns for these amazing wee socks they knit but they weren’t on ravelry.
I then saw that there was a Wee Elf Sock kal and the pattern was available so I knit it and got to know Meg I told her that I thought she should write more patterns as she has knit some amazing wee socks for swaps.
Meg asked me if I thought she should start a club with kits and I was so excitted.

The new quarter sign ups start August 15 2009 you can purchase your spot in the club on that day at Brave Little Knitter her etsy shop the kits have patterns in them for original designs you can only get from Meg and there is fun gifts and themes with every months kit.
There will most likely be only 20 openings so grab one they go fast.
I wanted to be able to knit really cute wee socks for the wee tiny sock swaps I’m in and learn new techniques and now I'm able to and also I'm one of her test knitters for the patterns and it is so much fun:)
Yesterday I got together with my July wee tiny sock swap pal which was ladybuglola who is also my best friend in real life.
Dolores sent me in my package one of the June kit wedding socks she knit and I gave her my July Sockini that I knit.
Check out Megs group on ravelry
Look now I’m knitting amazing wee socks.Thankyou Meg

I Knit This One For A Wee Sock Swap

I Knit This One For Meg

I started knitting this pattern when I joined the wee tiny sock swap group on ravelry.
The pattern was originally written for magic loop, but has been successfully knit on double point needles by me and others in the elf-a-long on ravelry.
Meg incorporated the notes for dpn's into the pattern and then I test knit it.
There are tips in the elf-a-long thread, in case people want to have a look.
If you have trouble joining the points click on this link Look at post #95 for help from Meg.If you are not a member of ravelry and want the pattern leave a comment with your email and I will give it to Meg or
If you click the link for "Download PDF" in the sidebar of Megs Blog, you can get the elf pattern even if you aren't on Ravelry...Ravelry set it up so that anyone can download it from the link, even though the PDF is hosted by Ravelry. So nice of them.

Giveaway of a Wee Tiny Sock Club Membership

Meg of Blogless No More and I have teamed up to celebrate her new adventure with a giveaway for the last spot in the Summer 2009 Wee Tiny Sock Club.

"As a member of the Summer 2009 Wee Tiny Sock Club, you will receive a package in the mail each month this Summer, June, July and August.
Each package will be based around a different summer theme, and will contain:

-An original creative wee tiny sock pattern.

-A taste of yummy professionally hand-dyed sock yarn, plenty to knit a wee tiny sock with.

-All notions needed to complete the pattern - for example, beads and beading needle, so no need to run out for extra supplies:)

-Stitch markers that coordinate with the theme.

-Surprise goodies!
