~Needle Felting My Way Into Spring~

Babette The Easter Bunny

My jaw is healing and I'm feeling good.
I have been knitting and needle felting.
I have always been fascinated with needle felting with fiber.
Three months ago I started out needle felting on felted knits and have recently been needle felting animals it is very relaxing and the fun part is I never know what they will look like until done:)
I needle felted Babette The Easter Bunny I wanted to make her whimsical and sweet with a hint of mischief.
Babette fits in the palm of my hand I needle felted her with fiber from Extreme Spinning.
There are allot of great tutorials on-line for learning to needle felt please share anything you have found with me in the comments or just tell me what projects your doing.
I'm having a giveaway to celebrate Spring in my group knotty knitter on ravelry for a Dust Bunnies pattern from Mochimochiland.

Boy What A Whopper Of A Headache!!!!

I have had a migraine for several days the drive to get my hubby from the airport was bad then I forgot to send the reminder to my knotty knitter group of today's meeting lucky for me people showed up.I had to stay in bed till 12:30 then Tom got me up so I could get ready and go to the meeting he didnt think it was a good idea but I needed to go check on my friend Dawn who has been not feeling so good. I have been stuck in the house for a week and needed to hang out with my knitterly friends.I was late to the gathering but everyone forgave me.I just took an imitrex so after I post pictures from today I will be going to bed hoping tomorrow the migraine will be gone so I can start knitting on my Easy Flame Scarf since Iam done with my Knotty Fingerless Mitts. Here are pictures of today's gathering.

Knotty Knitter Road Trip To See The Yarn Harlot In L.A.;)

Diane had reserved 4 spots for the event and so Diane ,Jo, Carol, and I went to see the Yarn Harlot Speak at the Los Angeles Library Ellen Bloom Introduced her. The theme of her talk was all about representing the culture of knitters and all the embarrassments and terminal stereotypes that still haunt it
The Yarn Harlot has described the 'group' called CHOKE (Cultural humiliation of knitters everywhere)
. She signed books afterwards we were among the first 12 people to show up so we got front row seats for the event pretty sweet as there were 2 lines all the way out and down the halls both directions.Stephanie Mcphee is delightfully witty and we all knit as we listened to her speak.I was knitting on Lizets socks and Jo was working up something she hadnt decided what it would be yet and Diane and Carol were working on i-cord for felted bags Diane brought a hat she knitted to donate to charity as they were collected them at the event.I got to ask the yarn harlot questions which were did she cloth diaper her children and did she knit soakers for them to wear the answer was yes pretty kewl;)I told Lizet her socks would get to go on the adventure and I would knit on them and I got a picture taken with Stephanie where she held lizets socks so they are extra special socks now.lol Yarn Harlot
